A week ago, my stepdaughter was fired from her job. She was fired because she lied and did an wrongful act and worst of all she betrayed the trust of the employer. She was asked to leave immediately.
I was freaking upset. Too upset to even want to write about it. I don't want to remember the disappointment and shame. I cannot understand the cause of it. I just couldn't accept what she had done.
I thought after the long talk and encouragement given to her, she would come to her senses and learn to see that stealing and lying is bad and absolutely damaging to her life. I thought the holiday job would keep her positivey busy, but no, she did not get it. She just had to lied and lied again.
I feel very sad. I will never get over this. Everytime I see her, my heart just crack and fill with disappointment.
To all the children out there, do not betray your parents' trust and love. Lying and stealing are failures.
